Overseas travel disruption

The College is open as usual despite a small number of staff being delayed abroad due to the current air travel disruption. Arrangements are being made to ensure as far as possible that lessons take place as planned, so students should continue to attend normal lessons.

Important information for International College students

Your teachers understand you may be stuck abroad trying to get to the UK. Many teachers have put work on Blackboard for you to complete to reduce the impact of your absence. Look under your course links.

Please contact your host families directly when you have a firm transport booking to the UK to let them know when you will be arriving. Eastbourne students should also email Elaine on elaine.gower@sussexdowns.ac.uk and Lewes students should contact Erin on erin.pedlow@sussexdowns.ac.uk

COLLEGE OPENING ARRANGEMENTS DURING SEVERE WEATHER

Reminder: if the weather is poor in next few weeks please continue to monitor the web siteas the main source of communication as it will be the most up to date/accurate regarding college closures. Updates will also appear on Twitter and Facebook*.

If the website is not online for any reason then listen to local radio, Heart 102.4 / 103.5, Sovereign Radio 107.5 and BBC radio Sussex 95.3 / 104.5 / 104.8, and Arrow 107.8 for broadcast updates. You should not rely on these broadcasts as your only source of information.

Students entered for exams should attend them as planned. If a student is unable to attend their examination for any reason then they should phone the appropriate Examinations Office for advice on 01273 402415 (Lewes) and 01323 637446 or 01323 637469 (Eastbourne).
