The college will be promoting green travel and greeting students staff and visitors as they enter the college with tips on how to be a greener traveller. We'll have information on cycling, public transport car sharing and green driving tips as well as information about using ethical biodiesel as an alternative fuel.
During this week staff will be dicussing taking on green issues or doing something green. This could be as simple as remembering to turn off lights, computers or equipment, using less polystyrene cups, using our car sharing scheme, setting up office teams home composting scheme or integrating being green into the curriculum in some way.
There will also be an electric car and electric bikes on display, as well as students projects and displays. We’ll be having a make do mend workshop at Park and Lewes sites.
As part of Green Living week we are holding a clothes swop in the Lewes common room on Thursday 22nd April from 11.30am to 1.30pm.
