Summer Courses
Sussex Downs has a long tradition in running quality and value-for money summer programmes. We offer programmes for adults, juniors and can cater for both individuals and open and closed groups.
Adult Summer Courses, Lewes Campus
Our adult summer school attracts students from all over the world. The course combines English language training as well as activities and excursions to make the most of the summer holidays.
Our teachers use the latest teaching techniques and you will be taught in modern classrooms. All students will be given a certificate at the end of their course.
Course Details:
- 15 hours of General English per week
- 5 hours of Plus options per week. Plus options include, Business English, Travel Tourism and Culture, Skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), Academic English and IELTS test prepration and Teaching Methodology.

Course start date: Monday 5th July 2010
Minimum Course Length: 2 weeks
Maximum Course Length: Friday 27th August 2010
Course Fees: Course + weekly social programme £195.00 per week. Course only £155.00 per week.
Early Bird Booking Deadline: All bookings that are made and paid in full by 1st of May 2010 will receive a £10.00 per week discount.

Young Learner Summer Courses, Eastbourne Campus
Make the most of your summer holiday by taking part in our popular Young Learners summer school. You will improve your English and make friends with students from all over the world in a safe and secure environment.
Eastbourne is a world-famous destination for summer groups of all ages. Enjoy miles of unspoilt beaches, outdoor activities and many tourist attractions.
Course Details
This is an all-inclusive programme for 12 to 17 year olds and includes:
- study for 2 to 6 weeks
- 19 hours of English language tuition per week
- Course materials included
- Full-board (Lunch Monday to Friday will be on-campus)
- 1 full-day and half-day excursion per week. (Destinations include London, Oxford, Cambridge and Brighton)

Airport Pick-Up And Transfers
We offer an airport pick-up service with a member of staff. The price of this will vary depending on which airport you arrive at and the time of day. Sussex Downs College strongly recommends that you arrange flights to London Gatwick Airport (LGW).
Accommodation
Our dedicated accommodation team will find suitable homestay accommodation for you in a shared room. All our host families are carefully chosen and comply with British Council guidelines. In addition, Sussex Downs College also carries out additional safety checks on all our homestay providers.
If students wish to share a room with another student or friend on the same course please let us know.
