Introduction to University Level at SDC
On this page we will introduce you to the range of higher education courses we offer in partnership with the University of Brighton.
There have been a number of changes to higher education in recent years. More students are studying locally through fulltime and part-time courses to achieve both foundation degrees and honours degrees.
Many people are now actively choosing to study for university level qualifications at college because they can study closer to home and colleges also often offer smaller groups, individual attention, and more effective working relationships between students and tutors.
Many of our students go straight into the world of work, but successful completion of one of these courses is a great stepping stone onto a full ‘top-up' degree at many universities.
As part of a large, modern college, higher education students benefit from the wider range of resources which a large college can attract.
We believe in giving the students the opportunity to develop their skills, and we have a great reputation for student support.
Whether you are currently completing a further education course at the College or are thinking of coming to the College for the first time, staff can offer advice about a higher education course that best meets your career aims.
We focus entirely on where you want to go. And we are here to support you at every stage, so take the first step to a new future.
