£22.52 to £23.90 per hour

Additional Learning Support requires a variable hours IT teacher to provide immediate interim cover for the Visually Impaired (VI) IT courses.  A good teaching knowledge of IT is essential.  An individual needs to have experience with Microsoft Office 2013 for Windows and Windows 7, able to use Jaws for Windows and have a good working knowledge of using shortcut keys. You will be working with the VI co-ordinator to teach students with a range of visual impairments.

Applicants should have a relevant degree and a teaching qualification (or be willing to work towards one).

TEACHER OF SPORT

£23,847 - £33,951 per annum / Temporary Maternity Cover from 1 February 2015 until 31 January 2016 (to be confirmed)

We are looking for a sports specialist member of staff for maternity cover. The post holder is currently teaching on a range of courses at Level 3 including A-Level and BTEC subjects. In order to fill the gap effectively and with regard for the skill set of the rest of the team, we are looking for expertise in leading on A Level PE and on BTEC Sport/Sports Science with specific Anatomy & Physiology, Sports Coaching and Practical Sports experience.

You will have expertise in teaching up to Level 3 or qualified at Level 5 and have the aptitude to plan, lead and teach units that show high levels of learner engagement and checking of understanding. You will be expected to co-ordinate and teach on a Level 3 BTEC Sport course. This includes monitoring of student performance in order to ensure value added is good or better for these learners. The successful applicant needs to have evidence of success with learners in an exam subject and be up to date with current BTEC assignment submission policy. You will be line managed by the Sport Course Leader.

LECTURER B/CO-ORDINATOR – DYSLEXIA

Actual pro rata salary range from £19,013 to £27,069 p.a. for 29.5 hours per week, full year.

Location: Lewes

An experienced individual is required to assess for Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) and co-ordinate access arrangements for exams at our Lewes Campus.

Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification in teaching and assessing students with SpLD as well as previous experience in undertaking assessments for access arrangements.  You should also be able to plan and organise an assessment schedule and have good knowledge of the specialist area.
