Project Search is a supported internship programme for young people aged 19 to 24 who have learning difficulties and/or disabilities. This is an exciting pilot which will create a Pathway to Employment for young adults who need additional support and training before they enter the world of work. Key to the success of the programme is the partnership between Sussex Downs College, Eastbourne District General Hospital (the host provider) and ChoicES Supported Employment Agency. The Project Search Job Coaches will support the Programme Co-ordinator to ensure that all of the interns receive high quality support whilst they are on their work placements in the hospital. This is a new full-time post which will not only be challenging and demanding but most importantly, rewarding. You will play a key role in identifying and raising the aspirations of young people, their families and local businesses.

The Human Resources Department at Sussex Downs College provides a high quality, professional HR service to staff and managers across the College.

A vacancy has arisen for an HR Administrator who will be required to provide support in the delivery of our range of services including HR systems, absence management and the recruitment and selection of staff.

Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organised and able to prioritise work tasks as this is an extremely busy and varied role. In addition candidates should have good IT skills and be prepared to be trained in the use of our own computerised HR system. Previous experience in a similar HR role would be advantageous.

The 12 to 16 programme is an energising and creative approach to learning which will support young people to address their relationships with authority, their behaviour and attitudes towards achieving at school. The curriculum is rich and varied which enables the small group to spend lots of time in the local community and having new experiences.

An opportunity has arisen for an Instructor who will lead the delivery of the programme and will take responsibility for the safety and well-being of the learners.

This post will be based on site at the Eastbourne Campus and will commence from 15 September 2014.

This is an hourly paid contract.  This post is subject to a DBS check.

Therefore the ability to teach at both levels is essential.
