Public and Emergency Services Management FdA

This course, offered at Sussex Downs College (Eastbourne), is intended for students aiming for management careers in the public sector or allied areas, or who wish to obtain a broad-based higher education qualification.

Course structure

Year 1 covers Public Service Studies, Emergency Service Operations, Social Aspects of the Public Sector and Management and Operations.

Year 2 continues with Management and Leadership, Operational Law, Research Methods and International Affairs. A total of six modules in the first year and six in the second. There are no exams but assignments ranging from reports, essays, presentations, group table top activities and evaluations of professional interactions with senior Public Service Officers.
